Hebrews 2

I have not really ever focused on the fact that Jesus suffered while tempted. It occurs to me that in my long suffering, that the temptation to drift away from God is gradual and easily becomes a mindset that because I am suffering, God must not care or does not deliver me out of it. He has, in fact, already delivered me out of eternal suffering, by delivering me from my sins through faith. He has written my name in the Lambs Book of Life, called me His own, and given me the essence of Himself, into my person, by giving me His Holy Spirit. It is so tempting to forget the deliverance that has already taken place while I am hurting. You pointed out that He also suffered so that He could fully know me in the midst of mine. He is the God who knows and He is the God who cares enough to suffer for me. There is no greater love.
